Build and publish in Studio · How-to guide
Prepare for the Claude and ChatGPT directories
Use the publish screen to get a public app ready for the Claude Connectors Directory and the ChatGPT app directory, then submit it yourself.
Anthropic and OpenAI each run a directory where people find apps for Claude and ChatGPT. ahel helps you prepare a submission for both. You press submit. ahel does not submit for you, and it cannot promise that a directory accepts your app: each one reviews submissions by its own rules.
The directory kit comes with the Launch and Team plans. The app should be public first.
Fill in the kit
On the app's publish screen, work through the numbered panels:
- Your domain: optional, see Use your own domain.
- Listing text: the name, description and details a directory shows.
- Screenshots: images of the app at work.
- Test cases for OpenAI: exactly 5 positive and 3 negative examples, which OpenAI asks for.
- Readiness per store: what each directory still needs.
- Submit: what to send, per directory.
Readiness per store reads "Ready for OpenAI and Anthropic", "Ready for OpenAI", "Ready for Anthropic" or "Not ready". It lists what is missing for the one that is not ready.
Submit it yourself
In Submit:
- For the OpenAI directory, use Download chatgpt-app-submission.json and follow OpenAI's submission steps with it.
- For the Claude Connectors Directory, copy the fields shown into Anthropic's submission form.
Keep your app's address, privacy policy and listing text stable while a directory reviews it.
Other ways to hand it out
The same screen exports setup for a Claude Code plugin marketplace, a ChatGPT workspace app, Cursor and VS Code, for teams who want to add your app directly.
