    What ahel is

ahel puts the apps you work in inside the AI you already use, through one connector, with your keys sealed in a vault.

ahel lets the AI you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT, work with the apps you already use, such as your CRM, your project tracker or your payment provider. You set your apps up once in ahel. Every AI you connect then sees the same set, and you never paste a key into a chat or a config file.

    The parts, in plain words

Apps. An app is a service your AI can act on: read your issues, look up a customer, draft an invoice. ahel lists apps in Discover, its public catalog. Each app's page says whether it can be connected today, and how: by signing in with the service, by pasting an API key, or with no account at all.

Your workspace. Your workspace is your own set of apps, sign-ins and settings in ahel. You manage it at app.ahel.ai. A team can share one workspace.

The connector. The connector is the one address you add to your AI: https://mcp.ahel.ai. Through it your AI sees the apps that are on in your workspace, and nothing else. You add it once per AI tool, and you sign in to ahel once from that tool.

The vault. Keys and sign-ins for your apps are sealed in the vault. ahel adds them on the server when a call runs. Your AI never sees them, and they never appear in the chat.

Cards. In Claude, answers from your apps come back as cards: a small view with the result and, for a change, a button you press to confirm. Every card also has a complete text version, which is what tools without cards show. See What a card is.

Studio. Studio is where you turn an API or a server you run into an app of your own, with its own cards. See Build and publish in Studio.

    Where it works

Claude shows your apps as cards. ChatGPT works through Developer mode, on plans that allow custom apps; we have not verified cards there yet. Cursor, Claude Code and Codex get complete text.

The full list, with setup steps for each, is in Connect your AI.

    What ahel does not do

    • It does not give you accounts with the apps. You bring your own account or key for each app you connect. Anything the app's vendor charges is between you and the vendor.
    • It does not change anything in an app without asking. Every create, send, change or delete shows a confirm card first, and nothing runs until a person presses it. Reading never asks. See Confirm, receipts and approvals.
    • Not every app in Discover can be connected. An app marked Listed only has a page and a link to the vendor's documentation, but no actions in ahel, and no key or sign-in is collected for it.

    The protocol words, once

If you have met these terms elsewhere: the connector is a remote MCP server (the Model Context Protocol, the standard AI tools use to talk to outside services), and your AI signs in to it with OAuth. Cards use the MCP Apps extension. You do not need to know any of this to use ahel.
