Connect ChatGPT

In this tutorial you add ahel to ChatGPT as a custom app through Developer mode, sign in, and ask a first question. ahel works in ChatGPT and returns complete text answers. We have not yet verified that ChatGPT draws ahel's cards, so plan on text.

#What you need

• An ahel account. If you do not have one, sign in first. The Free plan needs no card.
• A ChatGPT plan and workspace that allow custom apps in Developer mode. If your ChatGPT workspace is managed by a company, its admin may have to allow this.

#1. Turn on Developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings and turn on Developer mode.

You should now be able to create your own app (ChatGPT may call it a connector).

#2. Create the ahel app

1. Create an app named ahel.
2. Paste this as the server URL:

https://mcp.ahel.ai

3. Choose OAuth as the sign-in method.

If you belong to more than one ahel workspace, copy the address from Connect your AI instead (choose ChatGPT). It names the workspace to use.

#3. Sign in to ahel

Press Connect, then approve the ahel sign-in in the window that opens.

You are back in ChatGPT with ahel connected. In your ahel workspace, Connect your AI shows ChatGPT as "Connected, signed in".

#4. Ask your first question

Start a new chat, make sure the ahel app is on for it, and ask: "How do I start with ahel?"

ChatGPT answers with ahel's short guide to your workspace, as text.

#What works and what does not

• Reading from your apps and running actions works, with the same results as in Claude.
• Every change still needs a confirm. Where no card is shown, ahel gives ChatGPT a confirm link of the form app.ahel.ai/app/confirm/... to pass on to you. Open it, sign in if asked, check the values and press the button there. ChatGPT cannot press it for you. See Confirm, receipts and approvals.
• Cards are not yet verified in ChatGPT. When we have verified them, this page will say so.
