Connect your AI · How-to guide

Cursor

Add Ahel to Cursor with one click or one line in mcp.json, sign in, and use it from the agent.

Cursor reads Ahel from its MCP settings file. The Add to Cursor button on Settings, then Connect AI, writes the entry for you.

From Cursor's docs, seen 2026-10-20. Not yet run end to end against Ahel from Cursor.

One click

  1. On the computer where Cursor runs, open Settings, then Connect AI, tab Cursor or any MCP.
  2. Click Add to Cursor and confirm the install in Cursor.
  3. Sign in to Ahel in the browser window Cursor opens.

By hand

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "ahel": { "url": "YOUR_ADDRESS" }
  }
}

With an access token instead of a sign-in, add a header read from your environment:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "ahel": {
      "url": "YOUR_ADDRESS",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:AHEL_TOKEN}" }
    }
  }
}

Check it

  • Open Customize in the sidebar. Ahel is listed with its toggle on.
  • No tools? Open the Output panel, choose MCP Logs, and look for the error.
